Prepare yourself for getting a reeming.
To those who like to attack people and say this has been discussed over and over.
I know of a software developer that will not let people see the items on the wish list that people have submitted for one very good reason. If there are alot of seperate posts on the same topic then it means alot of people are thinking about the samething and it would give a more accurate idea of how many people actually want the change.

Fair enough, Monkey - but this is a discussion board, not a dev's forum. Granted, they may look in here - but that's no reason to repeat the same topics over and over again. If it has bee posted, people can just add their thoughts/support/comments to existing threads. That way those not interested in reading the same thing over and over don't have to see the same topic over and over.
Just sayin'...

A rouge class would be pretty cool.

Hmmm, it is amazing when something is calmly explained with a purpose. After seeing your post I can see your point and can agree.

ok
playing the devils advocate, I can already be a rogue
R/W [or arguably W/R] - very damage based, great dish out capabilities
apply poison, terrific stances both for more damage and damage avoidance
bleeding, critical hits, weakens, blinds, evades, dodges, speedups..
still have nice range (and poison range) capabilities
out of curiosity there anything specifically you can't do?
invisiblity/sneak has been left off for pve/pvp
considering how the former and latter work, not surprising
daggers - just use the short sword
now dual wield would be nice.. warr and ranger could just get tho
[str help the warrior do it better, expertise the ranger, maybe..]
nothing really to pick.. damage already works by location a bit..

No... more... rogue... for the love of Anet... NO... MORE... ROGUE!....
Canada frouns apon your suggestion
i cant stand this suggestion for a few reasons... first of all most people say, make them able to be "invisable", seems people will do anything to get a quick run these days... and second of all people wanting them to be "theives", first of all if they can steal items from bad guys or people you automaticly have a balance problem, people will do anything for easy drops these days...
to wrap this up ill just have to express my feeling about this.... NO, personaly id like to see the word rogue banned from the face of the earth...

I love rogues, they are my first choice in every game when they are available. That said, I dont think a true rogue class would work in GW. Why? Hide/Sneak doesnt seem feasable to me. Its too difficult to possition yourself accurately in GW also, it would be hard to get behind mobs... If you did get behind mobs, you would be the target of a lot of the agro.
I do think a light armor, fast attacking, dual wielding dagger type would work well though. Problem being they would be too much like a warrior, and be as easily shut down (blindness, owie).

Mesmer/Warrior is the best Rogue with high damage using Illusionary Weaponry, and high dodging using distortion. :P
